Wil Orr, Tree Climbing Facilitator
Wil attended his first recreational tree climb in 2006 and started facilitating climbs as a Recreational Tree Climbing Guide with the City of Eugene’s River House Outdoor Center the following year. After that he worked in the tree care industry for a while and pursued a career in Information Technology.
Over the years Wil has found great joy in random climbing projects, including cat rescue, installing tree-mounted antennas for a rural internet project, and re-nesting young hawks, owls, and herons for the Cascades Raptor Center.

Throughout Wil’s varied professional experience, one thing has remained constant: his love for tree climbing and his desire to share the experience with others.
As Tree Climbing Eugene’s Climbing Facilitator, Wil uses his years of practice, formal training, and trusted techniques to help folks experience trees in a new way.
He works with each climber to understand their comfort level and what they are looking for in their ascent into the tree canopy. Whether the climber is after a personal challenge, a picturesque view, a treetop meditation, or simply a fun group activity, Wil caters to and genuinely values each personalized climb.
